Bob Jones’ Revival Prophecy Headlines Super Bowl Win

God uses seasons of preparation to get His people ready and equipped for what is about to come.

The Bible gives a plethora of examples where a person had a calling on their life, but they had to endure seasons of hardship to prepare them for what the Lord had in store for them.

David was anointed to be Israel’s future king by Samuel before he ever fought Goliath, and he was considered a youth at that time. It was no easy path for his prophecy to be fulfilled. He was betrayed and hunted by Saul, suffered living in the wilderness and in caves, moved his parents to protect them from the wrath of the king and even lived with his enemies the Philistines.

So numerous were the times that David could have said, “Well, the Lord’s prophecy has not been fulfilled, that must mean it isn’t really a prophecy! Samuel must have got it wrong!”

But he did not say these things against the Lord, for so great was his faith in the Word of the Lord. David endured years of persecution, painful living and constant wars before the prophecy of his becoming king was fulfilled and the Messianic line continued.

Prophet Bob Jones also spoke words that needed time to come to fruition, and in today’s “go, go, go” lifestyle, few have the patience to endure the way David did.

Christians have seen the influence of Satan spreading in America, and have been praying for revival to sweep across the land.

Like a ray of hope in a dark time, the words Jones spoke years ago to Shawn Bolz have come back to prepare the way for revival.

After the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles in a nail-biter of a Super Bowl, Shawn Bolz shared on his Twitter the word God gave to Jones about the Chiefs and revival:

Detractors of course could say that the Chiefs won back in 2020, right before the pandemic went into full-blown lockdown and shifted the world’s trajectory in ways that have not been fully realized as of yet. Difficult times and situations were endured, and a young generation had their futures shaped by this event.

But prophecies come about in God’s timing, not man’s.

Bob Jones was a prophet, confirmed by numerous leaders of faith, including IHOP’s Mike Bickle. With words he has spoken from the Lord coming true, Christians have the same test before them that David had: Will they trust in the Lord that His words are true and will come to fruition, or will they cave to doubt and skepticism because things have not transpired as they thought they would?

Occurring hand-in-hand with the Chief’s victory is another event catching the eye of Christians across America at a small university in Kentucky. Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, has had multiple days of revival breaking out starting on Feb. 8 and continuing at the time of this article’s writing.

Students are falling to their knees in repentance, surrender and worship of the King of kings, just as they did in 1970.

Something else occurred that year. The Kansas City Chiefs won their first Super Bowl.

Now, 53 years later, a movement of God is pouring across the student body at Asbury yet again, and the Chiefs sit atop the football world.

This time, according to the word Jones shared, Asbury is the catalyst that will set the world on fire with His glory and bring about a massive, End Times revival.

God is not a God of coincidence, He is the God of intentionality and purpose. Everything He does, from Creation to redemption, is planned out.

Revival acts in accordance to God’s will. It bursts forth in His timing, for His plans, in accordance to His Word. There is purpose behind revival, and it starts with a penitent heart, just as the young believers at Asbury are demonstrating. {eoa}
