Did you know that times and seasons are the testing ground for a people’s spiritual identity? Why?
Because times and seasons are divinely ordered. God is always working, moving in specific ways in specific times and seasons.
The preacher in Ecclesiastes 3:1 writes, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” What is the point?
The point is that for every divinely appointed time and season, there is also a divinely appointed action to be taken. As God’s people, it is part of our spiritual identity to be a people who know and interpret the times and the activities appropriate to the time. God desires that His people be aware of the times and seasons and His working in them.
This is why prophecy is so important. What is the prophetic time and season we are living in? What insight can we gain in order that we can make room in our hearts, understandings and even our practical living for what God is doing? How is He moving on the earth at this particular time, and how can we join Him where He is working to see His will and His kingdom advanced in our own lives and the lives of others?
