The mission of the church is to reach those who are lost. The task given to us by Jesus we assumed was to go into all the earth and share the gospel. However, Jesus said in Mark 16:15, “Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” There is a difference between the earth and the world in Scripture. The earth speaks of the material or physical nature of it, but the world is a system. The world is a system that governs how we live our lives. The world system is comprised of the mini-systems within it. The example of these systems would be business, media, entertainment, government, family and so on. These systems make up our world and are influenced by those who have an impact.
In my conversation with Sara Mia on a recent episode of Mastery Talks on the Charisma Podcast Network, we discuss how she built influence that resulted in her having an impact in reaching people with the gospel in the music industry. There are people like Sara who are called to bring revival and change within the music industry. The light shines in the darkness, but if the light stays away, it can’t bring illumination in the areas where it’s needed most. We are called as representatives of the kingdom of God to change the world. {eoa}
