How God Is Using This New York City Ministry to Light Up Our Dark World

With a thriving church and ministry in New York City, there’s never a dull moment for Pastor Ron Lewis. But when you’ve been called to expand God’s kingdom, that’s to be expected. And he loves every minute of it.

As the founder and senior minister at Every Nation Church in Manhattan, Lewis, along with his team, has been charged with planting churches—over 100 in multiple nations around the world so far—and to disciple young leaders to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. He’s one of God’s best and most diligent warriors in a time where church-planting is needed most.

“This year has been a great year for us, and I’ve had many years where I could not say that,” Lewis told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “It’s been a really good year for expanding the kingdom of God in the northeast and seeing new churches pop up and a lot of young leaders being trained to preach the gospel and grow these churches.

“We’re thankful for the churches God has given us, and we praise Him. But what excites me about the future is that I get to pass the baton over and over again to younger leaders who are coming behind us and showing themselves faithful. And in my phase of life, I’m able to turn over ministry to a lot of young people and watch them excel and exceed the work that God has used me to do.

“What is stirring me most is the call to the world. With the resources we have, we are able to see people that would have no hope of ever receiving the gospel. Not only do they meet Jesus, but they find a church community is some of the darkest and most difficult places around the world. Spiritually, these people are in darkness. They’re in prison with no chance. But God makes a wake. I love hearing stories about what God is doing all around the world.”
