When you go to church, you’re the one every demonized person wants to talk to.
You walk into a shop at the mall, and you get hit with a wall of oppression so strong you can barely breathe. Your prayer times are a dramatic battle against the hordes of hell.
You share with others what you sense in the spirit, but that only confirms the fact that everyone thinks you’re crazy.
You’re not crazy. You’re a Gideon type prophet.
Why is this important to know? Because God designed every prophet to be a specialist in a particular area. He shapes and anoints each prophet for their specific mandate. Then together, we become excellent at what we do and we cover and heal the entire body of Christ!
Gideon prophet, you’re a specialist in spiritual warfare. Not every prophet has the kind of sensitivity to the enemy that God’s given to you.
This is because you’re called to deal with the demonic bondage of God’s people. You attract people who are bound because they sense the freedom that you can offer them.
You have a special role in His Kingdom. You’re not like the other prophetic types.
Your “crazy” is a weapon against the enemy.
Trust in what God has said about you. He’s shaped you your entire life for this. Gird up your loins and get ready for battle. You’re made for this!
Are You a Gideon Prophet?
Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?” So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” Judges 6:14-16 NKJV
You Experience Spiritual Warfare More Than Everyone Else
You see demons everywhere. All. The. Time.
You’re the person who will make somebody manifest at church but also be the first one to try and cast it out. You hate seeing the work of the enemy and are passionate about seeing people set free. You’re not someone who runs towards a fight, but the fight always finds you.
Perseverance in spiritual warfare is your calling card. You don’t stop until the enemy does.
You’re Called to a Level of Holiness Others Aren’t
Before you can fight demons for others, you have to overcome your own.
God doesn’t let you breathe sideways regarding any open doors to the enemy. Your first battles were dealing with your own bondages and family generational curses. What others can get away with, you can’t.
Your personal victories set the groundwork for you to set others free.
You’ve Had to Choose Between Family and God
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 (NIV)
You’re called to make a stand for the Lord first in your own family.
Your greatest opposition came from those closest to you. You needed to denounce the enemy in your own camp before God led you to fight for others. Cutting your deepest ties was necessary for you to walk forward in your call.
God gave you the courage to stand against the enemy so you can be an example for others.
You’re the epitome of seeing in black and white. There’s no middle ground when it comes to demons! You may see yourself as the least in your family, but Gideon prophet, you are God’s warrior. Your walk is not an easy one, but every difficult decision you’ve had to make in your process bore fruit. God honors your courage to continue to fight on behalf of His people.
If you’re a demon detector, remember you’re not crazy. You’re His prophet, set apart to be a specialist in spiritual warfare. Keep swinging your sword. You’ve been anointed to set God’s people free.
