A Spirit Life

“But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life” (John 4:14).

Beloved, Jesus wants to saturate your soul, fulfill your emotions, clothe you with His beauty, and bring you into intimacy with Himself. Messiah Jesus is the water that quenches all our thirsts. But our walk with Jesus is not about religion, it has to do with the Spirit. We have to be led by the Spirit in order to experience the living water.

Sometimes people think that they are living a full Christian life simply because they are immersed in Christian culture. But we need to go beyond Christian culture. We need to enter into the supernatural realm of Hashem; into the Spirit world. We are going to have to journey into the Spirit in a way that you and I can only go individually. In other words, God is going to call each one of us as He did Abraham. He called Abraham to leave everything that was comfortable for him. Abraham had to go from his land and leave his friends (Genesis 12:1). He had to follow the Lord’s Spirit, to find something so much bigger – the supernatural life of God.

If we are going to move in power, we are going to have to be led by the Spirit. It is going to be supernatural. God is going to train us how to abide in Him. He is going to teach us how to hear His voice. He is going to lead us to do things that sometimes make no sense. He is going to stretch us to even do that which is uncomfortable. And as we obey Him like Abraham did, we are going to enter into a place in life that is fulfilling and beautiful!

Beloved, real life is in the Spirit. The Spirit gives life. Again, Jesus says, “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst, but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water, springing up to eternal life.” This is not a one-time act, but is a lifetime pursuit. Slowly we are transformed, the old things pass away as we become new creations in Messiah Jesus. As we age, this new wine becomes the fullness of our life, and even though the outward body decays as we age, our inner man is being renewed day by day. So that the older we are, the fuller, happier, and more content we become.
