Ex-Lesbian: 3 Reasons We Can’t Say ‘I Don’t Know’ Whether Homosexuality Is a Sin

Jackie Hill Perry is an author, Bible teacher and rapper who has an incredible testimony of overcoming same-sex attraction as a young woman. She says, “I used to be a lesbian. Even that sentence is offensive in most circles. To say ‘used to’ or reference lesbianism in the past tense sounds bigoted. It sounds even delusional.”

For many young Christians, the topic of whether homosexuality is a sin is an uncomfortable topic—one which many would rather ignore or not talk about. But during a recent teaching, Hill Perry says there are three biblical reasons why Christians must have this hard conversation. First, the Great Commission demands that we be good teachers with full knowledge of “all” Christ taught. Second, in order to contend for the faith, Christians must understand the nature of sin. Finally, Christians need to have this conversation so that they can clearly discern right from wrong.

Hill Perry shares her experiences, how Christ changed her and why the conversation matters in this video. Watch it here.
