Abortion Matters to God—So It Should Matter to Believers

Abortion is a matter of the heart, not mere legislation and laws. Before Roe v. Wade, there were abortions—illegal ones. Although, former President Trump sought to improve the legislation governing abortion, when our new president changes things back, it will prove that the laws changed but not the hearts.

With or without legislation, abortion should never be the answer. I pray that God will give us as the body of Christ the power to steal hearts and save more unborn babies.

You may be asking yourself how we can do that. Let’s see how it is possible from the Word in 2 Samuel 15:6 :”Absalom acted this way toward every Israelite who came to the king for a judgment. So Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.”

Absalom was trying to take King David’s kingdom from him, which we all know was not the will of God. Nevertheless, he had the power to steal hearts.

God wants to change hearts, not just the laws.

When I was 17 years old, basically homeless, living from pillar to post, my mother insisted that I have an abortion. A few days after my abortion, some Christian paraphernalia came to my aunt’s apartment where I was staying. This postcard featured real aborted pictures of babies with a message of repentance and Christ. Instantly, my heart was stolen and broken with godly sorrow.

If you are contemplating an abortion, please know, it is not the answer. If you have already had one, know God will forgive you if you repent and ask for forgiveness. He will restore your soul as He did mine. If the enemy can use people to be demonically influenced to steal hearts like Absalom and an abortionist, then God can anoint us and send the spirit of repentance to steal hearts and save babies from being aborted.
