Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. —2 Corinthians 3:17-18
The promise of being transformed and ignited to holy passion by understanding and beholding God’s glorious personality is for everyone. No matter how weak or strong you feel, regardless of your previous failures, irrespective of your natural temperament or personality, you can be ablaze with passion for Jesus.
{ PRAYER STARTER }
Father, the hopeful thought that You can transform me to become more like You is almost too much to comprehend. Do a work in me that goes beyond my human understanding, that I may reflect Your personality in my own life.
If the first twenty years of my life taught me
anything, it was that passion for Jesus
does not come from natural
human zeal or enthusiasm.
