Twenty-One Days of Prayer: Example of Fatherliness

There was a concert on the Mall in Washington DC that my wife and I attended, organized by Sean Feucht; the concert was called “Let Us Worship.” It was held on September 11, 2021 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001, a day of infamy. Donald J. Trump, our former (and to some our truly elected) president, called for 21 days of prayer at the concert that day. Rosh Hashanah began on September 6th this year, the Day of Trumpets. (Some have conjectured with good evidence that Jesus was born on Rosh Hashanah on 3 BC, which ironically coincides with September 11th in the Gregorian calendar that year.) Nonetheless, we have begun the 10 days of awe, culminating in Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, on September 16th this year of 2021.

During this incredibly important time in our nation’s history, when everything in the world seems to be falling apart, a father-like leader has appeared on the horizon and what does he do? He asks the nation to pray! Is this not the response of a leader? Is this not the action of a father? Is this not the action of one who possesses the heart of the Father, expressing itself through the heart of a man? Our enemy uses personalities here on earth. One need not look past Adolf Hitler to see how he accomplishes his nefarious goals through certain personalities on the earth. Currently, we are saddled with leaders who are doing the devil’s bidding to take away our freedom. They are trying to control us under the shackles of a totalitarian state (call it what you will: socialism, communism, fascism). All these flavors of totalitarianism are designed to control us. God desires “We the People” to be free! Just as our Founding Fathers wanted us to be free, our Founding Fathers had the heart of the Father in them.

In our national history, we have had three men who exhibited the heart of the Father to protect, provide, and teach (mentor): George Washington, the father of our country, who stepped down at the height of his power and influence; Abraham Lincoln, who led us through the Civil War. Now, God has given us a third father to lead us through these perilous times. This man, imperfect as he may be, has been called and anointed to lead us. The call to “21 Days of Prayer” is just the most recent example of his exhibiting the heart of the Father for the benefit of our nation. Wake up! It’s not him they are going after; it’s us. He is just standing in the way!

It is in the heart of God for us to follow Trump’s lead and pray to usher in the next great move of God in our country. We desperately need help. This is not about politics: this is about freedom vs. tyranny; good vs. evil; life vs. death.

As events unfold with this current administration, I am appalled at the media coverage, which describes the current administration’s policies, executive orders and laws as crazy or stupid. It’s not crazy or even stupid …. it is downright evil and there is a demonic evil intelligence behind it. Wake up, America! Wake up, Church! At the concert, I saw a T-shirt with a message on the back that said, “The Church has left the Building!” I feel as if God our Father is saying, “I am God and I approve this message!” Join those who are praying for 21 days and see what our Father will do! {eoa}
