A 300-voice choir and special appearances highlight the new live recording from Travis Cottrell, Jesus Saves Live. The two-disc audio and DVD combo features 16 songs performed by Cottrell before a crowd of 7,000 at Woodstock Baptist Church outside Atlanta. The release follows Cottrell’s 2008 Christmas project, Ring the Bells.

Songs on the project include “Lord We Come,” “Do It Lord,” “Mercy Seat,” the debut single “Jesus Saves” and “Fearless,” which will also be featured on author Max Lucado’s upcoming worship compilation releasing in the fall titled Fearless Worship.

Singer Cindy Morgan, who joined Cottrell on the road last year, is back for “Praise the King,” while on the bonus DVD, Cottrell is joined by Lucado and speaker Beth Moore, with whom Cottrell is leading worship at Living Proof events. Other DVD features include moving video backgrounds for use by local worship leaders in their own churches.

After the recording of the project, which took place in late January, Cottrell said his lack of stress and nerves had to be credited to divine intervention.

“It was as if the grace of God picked me up and carried me through the whole experience—which is exactly what He did,” he said. “God did amazing things that I could never have imagined, and I am very grateful and very much in awe of His kindness.”
