Powerful Truths to Remember as We Look Back at the Tumultuous 2020

Worldwide people were ready to be done with 2020 because of the many horrific events and losses we’ve suffered. However, I believe this perspective is limited to a temporal and carnal perspective. Let’s take a few moments to reconsider God’s plan and how we can best align ourselves to be part of His plan.

We tend to want to think of starts and stops, lines of delineation and demarcation to sever what is unpleasant from what we believe is better. Yes, God does tell us to bind what is not of Him and to loose what is His will, but that is to be done within His timeline, not in an effort to create our own timeline.

God’s Timeline Is a Continuum

The Old Testament was not nullified by the New Testament. Rather, the Old Testament was fulfilled by the New Testament, and because the New Testament builds on the Old, we who live in the New Testament are blessed to live in a new and better covenant. Some of the legal requirements of the Abrahamic Covenant were completely fulfilled by Jesus, but the blessings and benefits of other Old Testament covenants continue to this day, along with the additional benefits Jesus provided for the New Testament.


God’s Covenant Is for the Seed of Abraham

Unfortunately, many have been misled over the centuries and have made a distinction or even separated Christianity from its Jewish roots. This is a deception of the enemy in attempt to disempower followers of Christ. Our focus needs to be restored to the truth.
