We Must Fight for Freedom

Who would have ever thought that in America, freedom would find itself in a battle for survival? Over the last two years, the definition of freedom has been attacked. According to Merriam-Webster, “freedom is the power to do what you want to do: the ability to move or act.”

The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States gives all those who are Americans living in America freedom of speech to say whatever they want to say. We also have freedom of religion and how to express it; the freedom of the press to report on any topic without fear; freedom of assembly in whatever group for any purpose; and freedom of petition to affect change for which the people deem necessary for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

America is the last Bastian of freedom. If she falls, there is no other to take her place.

Currently, reports are coming out of Victoria, Australia, a supposed free country, as they institute measures preventing the rights of anyone who refuse to receive a government-mandated injection from participating in society. They are also expecting their citizens who have complied to check in wherever they go to monitor their movement. That, ladies and gentlemen, is the complete opposite of freedom.

Until 2020, American citizens knew that China was a communist country. With unbearable control over its citizens, from forced abortion to imprisonment for preaching Jesus, the government’s atrocities toward its people are incomprehensible. It is this fascism trying to overturn and corrupt the United States and the rest of the world. As American citizens, we have a responsibility to guard and protect these freedoms.

More than anytime in history, the church must act. Christians understand freedom more than any other people group on earth. Jesus gave us the ability to live without chains. He told us He came to give us life and that more abundantly (John 10:10); that it was for freedom, He set us free (Gal. 5:1). He said freely we have received, freely give (Matt. 10:8).

We have a job to do. We have power over every power of the enemy if we will use it. Time is short. We need to be about our Father’s business and bring freedom to as many as we can reach.

In a recent interview with Shawn Stone, the director of victims of war at Far Reaching Ministries, we were made aware of the current plight of Christians all over the world, including places such as Sudan, Burma and Afghanistan. Our brothers and sisters are targets for death with no hope of freedom if we don’t act. Lets join those who are doing something about it. You can find out more here.
