Lazy Ears Make for a Sluggish Faith

“We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand” (Heb. 5:11, NIV).

We are warned about the things that will make us fall away from the Lord. In our immature faith, doubt and arrogance, our ears are closed to what God desires us to know.

We no longer try to understand God’s Word when we think we’ve got it all figured out. We can do it on our own.

We become sluggish in our need for God.

Hearing the truths of God but responding with. “Yeah, yeah, whatever. I already know the truth.”

Moving out of our comfort zone and committing to growing in our faith, by relying on God’s Word, we become more like Him.
