Believers have been persecuted since the first century. The Gospel of Matthew writes of the events of the end times when both Jews and Christians will be persecuted. While Jesus is talking about what will take place in His disciple’s lives and in the millions of followers that will come, He also is telling of a time when all those who believe experience hatred, persecution and death because of their stand for Jesus.

As Anti-Semitism and a violent hatred for Jews continues stronger than ever, it is not only God’s chosen people that face beatings, persecution and death but Christians as well. While America, until recent years, has been free of what other believers have lived through for decades, persecution is increasing. Taking a stand is no longer without penalty. Churches are closed. Social media accounts blocked. Pastors imprisoned. And financial retribution taken against vocal congregations that choose to challenge today’s “woke” culture.

Christians who support Israel and the Jewish people face even more attacks. Now is not the time to back down but to stand strong and be courageous, knowing that God is faithful to protect and bless both Jews and Christians during these critical times.
