SPIRITUAL WARFARE
“When you go to war in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before the Lord your God, and you will be saved from your enemies.”
—Numbers 10:9 (NKJV)
The above Scripture speaks of fighting battles within our own land. And though it was written to Israel, we are certainly in a war in our own land. There is a war in the spirit realm for the soul of America.
Trumpet blasts typically called the Lord’s people together for battle. But the blowing of trumpets (shofars) was also a call to prayer. Today, I believe the two are merged into one. The trumpet is being blown to fight this battle on our knees.
- Thank the Lord for His promise of remembering us.
- Thank Him for rescuing us from our enemies.
DAILY PRAYER
Lord, awaken Your people to the reality of what the enemy is doing to destroy our foundations. Let us heed the trumpet’s call to pray as never before, and help us not to wage war in the flesh but in the spirit.
