Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary were among several gospel artists presented with Grammy Awards during last night’s awards show.

Feb. 10, 2009 — Gospel artist Kirk Franklin led the list of gospel winners at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards.

During a pre-telecast ceremony, Franklin was awarded Grammys for Best Gospel Song for his “Help Me Believe” and Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album for The Fight of My Life. In addition, contemporary gospel duo Mary Mary won Best Gospel Performance for their song “Get Up.”

Among the other gospel winners were Toby Mac, the Blind Boys of Alabama, Cece Winans and the Gaither Vocal Band. A full list of gospel nominees and winners is below.
