But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. —John 1:12
Be as a son of God. A son of God must have power over the powers of the devil. A son of God must behave himself seemingly. A son of God must be temperate in all things. A son of God must have the expression of the Master. He should be filled with tenderness and compassion. He should have a body filled with bowels of mercy. A son of God must excel in every way.
God spoke and the heavens gave place to His voice. God proclaimed, “This is my beloved son-.-.-.-hear ye him” (Matt. 17:5). Afterward, Jesus always said, “I am the Son of God.”
God comes to you and says, “Behold, you are sons of God!” Oh, that we could have a regiment rising, claiming their rights, standing erect with a holy vision and full of inward power, saying, “I am, by the grace of God, a son of God!”
Lord, by Thy grace I trust in Thee and claim that
I am Your son, Your daughter, Your child. Amen.
