My Amazing Interview with Michael Todd and How You Can Be Inspired by His Story

by | Jul 20, 2020 | Blogs, The Strang Report

Michael Todd, pastor of the fast-growing Transformation Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, has discovered how to use the internet to fulfill the Great Commission. We featured him on the cover of the June/July issue of Charisma. His is one of many up-and-coming ministries we have featured in the magazine over the years.

In fact, I’ve been told that for many ministries, being featured in our magazine has become a rite of passage—something I never expected when Charisma began 45 years ago. But it’s a fulfillment of my vision way back then to cover what the Holy Spirit is doing and to inspire those we touch through various forms of media to encounter the power of the Holy Spirit.

Since I didn’t write the cover story, I finally tracked Michael Todd down to do a podcast. As you can hear, he is empowered by the Holy Spirit! The interview was so powerful I did two episodes with him and will feature the other one tomorrow. Meanwhile, if you didn’t read Taylor Berglund’s excellent article in the print version of Charisma, it’s worth reading. It ran last April online before the issue was mailed. You can find it here. It’s just the first part of the article, telling the reader to read the entire article in the print version. But tomorrow I’ll post the other half of the article!

My interview was one of the most anointed in the five years I’ve reported the Strang Report. It’s inspiring to hear how Michael Todd never gave up even though he had lots of obstacles and little success at the beginning. I asked him to give listeners advice on how they can experience this type of breakthrough in their own lives. Then I had him pray. This is one podcast you won’t want to miss.

During the interview, I invite the reader to subscribe to Charisma. Even though we now reach many more people online than in print, many people still want the print version in their home, and Charisma is much stronger than other magazines I know. Some magazines that sell subscriptions also ask for donations to support their brand of journalism, and many readers respond. We’ve never taken donations, but your subscribing to Charisma is a vote of confidence in the type of coverage we give the Pentecostal/charismatic movement and how we feature ministries and articles that inspire people to encounter the power of the Holy Spirit.

To subscribe to Charisma magazine CLICK HERE. Choose the subscription offer that’s right for you. You can even get Charisma plus my new book, God, Trump and COVID-19, as a free gift when you subscribe today.

And be sure to watch for my next newsletter and podcast to hear the amazing second interview with Michael Todd talking specifically about the virtual church and how it affects your life and ministry in this tumultuous time.

Be sure to share this podcast on social media. Many need to hear this message. It’s people like you sharing the Strang Report that has caused it to have more than 3.3 million downloads just this year. Here’s a heads-up: Watch for a new series on the Strang Report on how charismatic Christians must provide spiritual leadership in this time of division and in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Knowing the Character of God When It Matters Most

Don’t Make ‘Parties’ as an Excuse for Over-Indulging

I love a party or any get together where there is food. How about you? However, it is a big excuse many use for not losing weight. I had this excuse. It went something like this, “I can’t lose weight because I want to eat at family gatherings, parties, church carry-in...

Relax and Let the Holy Spirit Work in You

Relax and Let the Holy Spirit Work in You

Here’s an honest confession: I struggle to rest in the Lord. Maybe I’m a bit compulsive, but I find it difficult to be still and know that God is working when I can’t see what He’s doing. When I need the Lord to do something in my life, I tend to “help Him” do it. But...
