There is a spirit of discouragement and doom and gloom that is trying to grip a hold of the body of Christ. God has not abandoned His church, we should not be discouraged.
I sat down with frontline Dr. Stella Immanuel to talk about the word God spoke to her to encourage the body of Christ in 2023 and beyond. “I felt like there were several weighted blankets sitting on me,” Immanuel describes as she sat with God on New Year’s Eve, praying in the Spirit and overcome by the weight of His presence.
In my “Strang Report” podcast, she explains the voice of God speaking to her in her spirit. She immediately started to record what she felt God was uttering inside of her. “Tell My people that I am coming soon and they should tell people about Me. You are the salt of the earth and the light of the world, let your light shine, and do not be afraid,” she shares.
Immanuel describes the heavy burden she had been carrying marching on the frontlines of COVID and fighting back against the schemes of the enemy. She hadn’t realized until that moment she had been overcome by doom and gloom, and was prompted by God to pray for spiritual strength.
Asking God about all of the evil lurking in the world today, God spoke to her saying, “Yes, sometimes in My love, I allow evil to bring My people back to Me.” The book of Judges flashed before her and the numerous stories of God’s people taking for granted His protection and provision.
God allowed Israel to reap the effects of the deceitful, perverted lives they were living. As they repented and turned back to Him, He raised new judges over Israel.
There will be a judgment for those who are living their lives on their own accord, filled with sin. “The Lord wants the church to not be discouraged,” she says. Immanuel talks about a two-fold judgment. A judgment happening to those living in the world, and a judgment to the false prophets and ministries that have led people astray.
She feels from God that 2023 will be a year of natural disasters, death, and destruction. It is a time for the church to realize who they are. We are the light of the world and carry hope inside of us that those around us are in desperate need of.
I encourage you to pray in the Spirit and seek the Lord. I’ve had the privilege of knowing several anointed men of God, one of those being Oral Roberts. He would tell the story of buying the land that later became Oral Roberts University.
He walked the land and prayed in tongues, seeking God on what to do. Oral would interpret the tongues back to himself, and the Lord gave him direction on what steps to take.
I believe what Immanuel shares in the podcast is a Rhema word for the body of Christ right now. “The seals are open and death and destruction have already been released upon the earth. Tell them to bring people to Me and if they lift Me up, I will draw all men unto Me,” Immanuel says.
Do not let the enemy discourage you. Pray for spiritual strength and evangelize to those around you. Tune in to the full episode to hear more.
