Prophetic Word: Your Obstacle Will Become Your Miracle

by | Aug 12, 2019 | Blogs, Prophetic Fire

The Lord says, “August will be a month of My ‘new wind.’ I am blowing breath into the lives of My people. I will exhale, and it will be a wind of deliverance for My children. Even as I heard the cry of the Israelites who were in bondage and oppressed by Egypt for hundreds of years, so I have heard in this day the cry of My people, and now I am answering them with the wind of change.”

God led the children of Israel out of Egypt through the way of the wilderness to the Red Sea. The Hebrews had seen great signs and wonders while in Egypt, but then they encountered a great obstacle. The Red Sea was before them, stopping them in their tracks. Then Pharaoh’s army came behind them. They were hemmed in. Have you ever been in a situation where there seems to be no way out? What do you do when you are faced with a great obstacle to your promised destiny?

Your Obstacle Will Become Your Miracle

The other day while preaching, I went into a vision. God showed me an obstacle course and I saw an individual trying to navigate through all of these different hurdles. The first one was no problem. It seemed effortless. The second was a little more difficult. It took them a little more time. As I watched, I saw that they had some close calls where it seemed they would not reach the end of their course.

I saw clearly that the person was growing tired. When they faced their third obstacle and saw the enormous difficulty, it was as if all the life had been drained out of them. Exhaustion was etched upon their face. It seemed to me that at this point of their journey, they were defeated and had given up. How surprised I was as I watched them regain their footing and persevere until they made it through the horrendous obstacle to the very end of their course.

I heard the Holy Spirit say, “Many have had their strength drained from the obstacles the enemy has placed on their path. Some are on the verge of giving up on the promises I have made to them. This is not the time for them to give up. This is their season of deliverance! Barriers and blockades will be broken. Their obstacle will become their miracle!”

Moses and the children of Israel discovered the truth of “obstacles becoming miracles.” As they stood before the Red Sea with Pharaoh and his army behind them, Moses made a declaration of faith to them:

And Moses said to the people, “And Moses said to the people, ‘Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward” (Ex. 14:13-15).

God is also telling you to go forward. You may be asking how you can go forward when a huge obstacle is keeping you from making progress. God would say to you to stand still, as He did with the children of Israel. Get ready, you are going to experience the power of the breaker in your circumstances. There is a fresh wind of deliverance blowing through your obstacle.

“Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left” (Ex. 14:21-22).

The Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong “east wind.” According to Strong’s Concordance, the word “wind,” as used here, is the Hebrew word ruwach, meaning “wind; by resemblance breath, i.e. a sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively, life …”

God divided the waters that were an obstacle (or barrier) preventing them from going forward. The wind of deliverance parted the water and dried the ground for the children of Israel to walk in the midst of their impossibility. God is going to cause you to walk in the midst of what should have stopped you. The wind of deliverance is blowing for you right now.

Prophesy to the Wind

Ezekiel was commanded to prophesy to the wind:

“Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live”” (Ezek. 37:9).

Today, open your mouth and prophesy to the wind to blow upon the slain things in your life. There will be resurrection life. There is a “fresh wind” blowing on your circumstances.

God is saying to you today, “Get ready for the month of August to be a month of My wind. I will breathe into your life! You will see deliverance like Moses and resurrection life like Ezekiel!” {eoa}

The Biblical Way to Rise Above Mediocre Expectations

We spend a lot of life figuring out if we “measure up,” a phrase someone coined in the mid-1800s. Even in childhood, we begin comparing ourselves with siblings and kids at school, and it never seems to stop. The problem goes back to Cain and Abel, doesn’t it? Most of...

Why Does God Want Us to Speak with Tongues?

Why speak with tongues? There are many reasons for speaking in a spiritual language. Primarily, though, the Scriptures require it. The apostle Paul commanded us, saying, “Pray in the Spirit always” (Eph. 6:18). Jude commanded it in verse 20, saying, “Pray in the Holy...

Why America Must Adopt the Battle Cry of Isaiah
