Prophetic Word: The Lord Says, ‘I Am Raising Up a New Generation Who Will Carry My Presence’

I had an encounter with the Lord while in prayer one night.

He said to me, “There is a revival of purity being birthed. The old wineskins cannot contain the new wine of revival that I am releasing. I am raising up a new generation that will carry My presence, and they will see the waters part. Only those with clean hands and pure hearts will ascend to My high places. The ones who will cry unto Me, I will answer them. The hungry ones shall feast. The thirsty ones shall drink.

“Now is the time that I will carry My church across the threshold, even as a groom carries his bride through the entryway into a new beginning. The bride of Christ is now entering a new season of the supernatural. Awakening and revival are here! Watch and see the display of My great power. My kingdom is not in word only but in power. I am choosing a new breed of watchmen who will be the keepers of the gate. They will not permit compromise to pollute this pure move.”

How to Prepare for Signs and Wonders

In the book of Joshua, he commanded the people of Israel, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will perform wondrous deeds among you” (Josh. 3:5a). He was commanding that the people prepare themselves for a mighty move of God. This is the season we are in today. God is calling us to prepare for signs and wonders.

“When the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, touch the water of the Jordan, the water of the Jordan that flows from upstream will be cut off and pile up” (Josh. 3:13).

There is a new generation of priests unto the Lord who will carry His presence, and when the soles of their feet hit the waters, the waters will part. God is searching for leaders who will live in obedience to Him and lead His people through the overflowing waters of impossibility into the promised land.

“The priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firmly on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, and all Israel crossed over on dry ground until the entire people completed crossing over the Jordan” (Josh. 3:17).

Take note of how the priests who lived then walked in God’s wondrous power. The Lord strongly spoke to me regarding the contrast of the priests of Joshua’s day, who walked in consecration and power, and the priests of Eli’s day, who walked in sin and were powerless. God has begun a cleansing in the house of God and its governmental leadership.

The Contrast Between Samuel and the Sons of Eli

Eli was the high priest to whom Hannah gave her child Samuel to raise. Samuel was the last judge to rule Israel before the nation changed its form of government to one of a monarchy. From childhood, Samuel witnessed the wickedness of the priests (Eli’s sons) who served in the temple, but instead of becoming like them, he chose a life of purity and eventually became one of Israel’s greatest prophets. Moreover, through Samuel, a great revival was birthed.

“Now the sons of Eli were corrupt. They did not know the Lord” (1 Sam. 2:12)

Sadly, Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, knew not the Lord, yet there they were officiating as priests. And Eli failed to stop his sons from desecrating God’s sanctuary.

“Now Eli was very old, and he heard all that his sons were doing to all Israel, even that they lay with the women who served at the doorway of the tent of meeting” (1 Sam. 2:22).

When someone would bring an offering to the Lord, they would demand the best meat for themselves before the offering was made, which was contrary to God’s direction, and meant that they stole from God that which was dedicated to Him. They also were impure sexually, committing fornication with women in the tabernacle. The wickedness of Hophni and Phinehas was so great that God vowed to remove Eli’s evil lineage, thus stopping all his descendants from ever being priests. “Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord. For the men treated the offering of the Lord with contempt” (1 Sam. 2:17).

It was during this time that the Philistines came to battle against Israel, and they killed 4,000 Israelite soldiers. The army, in utter defeat and in complete desperation, called for the ark that had been their key to their triumph in the days of Joshua.

“Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord out of Shiloh to us, that it might come among us and rescue us out of the hand of our enemies” (1 Sam. 4:3b).

Israel believed the ark alone would secure their victory, but they were mistaken. The priests had become unholy and wicked which resulted in the people becoming the same. When Hophni and Phinehas brought the ark from Shiloh, all of Israel shouted, but their praise was empty noise. The battle pursued with the ark in their midst, and yet Eli’s sons were killed, and the ark captured. This is a picture of those who refuse to walk in purity, which causes them to lose the anointing, and finally are destroyed.

A Move Birthed by Those Who Walk in Purity

The Spirit of the Lord is saying today, This next move of God will be birthed by those walking in purity. I will allow them to steward My presence, and they will indeed be a generation who will see the waters part. Even the soles of their feet will carry the same power that the priests of Joshua’s day had upon them when they crossed the Jordan. Get ready for the cleansing of My house and for My wonder working power to be released upon the earth.”
