Prophetic Vision: The Lord Says, ‘The Church Must See the World Through My Eyes’

As I was in prayer one morning, I went into a vision where the Lord Jesus pulled me into His body, and I was in walking in Him, seeing the world through His eyes and from His perspective. It was only a few minutes, but it was profoundly impactful.

During this experience, the Lord revealed to me that His body, the ekklesia, “must see the world through My eyes” and shift its worldview to be reframed and reset to Mine. We are in the midst of a reset, and Hebrews 11 holds a key that will help us navigate through it.

The Eyes of Faith

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the men of old obtained a good report [witness]. By faith we understand that the universe was framed by the word of God, so that things that are seen were not made out of things which are [made] visible” (Heb. 11:1-3).

The Greek word that the writer of Hebrews uses to describe faith is hupostasis, which can be translated as “substance or assurance.” It also has the meaning of “support, essence or what has real existence, a person.” It is the same word used to describe the Son of God in Hebrews 1:3.

“He is the brightness of His glory, the express image of Himself (hupostasis) and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had by Himself purged our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

Faith is the result of encountering the revelation of the person of Jesus Christ. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Heb. 10:17). Though the Bible says we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7) does not mean we walk blind. We receive spiritual insight as we gaze into the revelation of Jesus and hindsight through His unfolding revelation in Scripture and foresight as we taste of the good word and see the power of the kingdom age to come.

The Blueprint of the Son

A biblical example of this is Moses as he receives instruction for the tabernacle on Mount Sinai. The Bible affirms that when he looked into the heavenly pattern on Mount Sinai in preparation for building the tabernacle, he looked into the form and likeness of the true tabernacle.

“And see to it that you make them according to the pattern which was shown to you on the mountain” (Ex. 25:40).

The Hebrew word for “pattern” is tabniyth, which can mean “model, pattern, structure, form, similitude or likeness.” It is used several times in Scripture of looking into a form or likeness of something and also derives from the root word “build” as well as “son.” Moses looked into the blueprint of the likeness of the Son who is the true tabernacle. It was the word that became incarnate to “tabernacle” among us, according to John the apostle. The writer of Hebrews gives us insight in writing that Moses counted the riches of Christ greater than the reproach of Egypt after seeing Him who is invisible (Heb. 11: 23-25).

The book of Hebrews continues on to proclaim it is by faith that the elders obtain a good “witness” and “ages” were “framed” by the word of God. As we looked into the revelation of the Son, we begin to be changed into the very image we see.

The Lord has prepared a remnant who have gazed into the eyes of Jesus, and they have been ruined for normal life. He has transformed their hearts through the fire of His presence like Isaiah when he declared “I am undone …for my eyes have seen the King” (Isa. 6:5b).

Jesus has brought them into the fellowship of His death, reframed their worldview so they can become witness of His resurrection and first fruits of a new era of kingdom reformation. He is preparing a body of ekklesia to tabernacle among and move through to spread the culture of the kingdom.

Reframed and Reset

The Greek translation for the word “framed” in Hebrews 11:3 is kartartizo, which means “to repair, adjust, mend, frame, prepare or restore what has been broken”. It is the word Greeks used when a bone was broken or dislocated and needed to be reset and adjusted to bring proper healing and alignment.

Kartartizo is also the root of the Greek word for “equip” in Ephesians 4:12 that describes the function of the apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. As we gazed into the revelation and blueprint of the Son, He is resetting and reframing how we function personally and corporately in His body. As we look into His image, He is removing dysfunction so we can effectively function as lively stones in the spiritual house of God.

The Voice of the Son

We are in a kingdom reset, yet it will not be comfortable for many. The voice of the Lord is sounding from heaven and shaking everything that is out of alignment. That same voice is sounding as we look into His face and abide in His presence. His thundering voice of reform will cause every kingdom citizen who is out of alignment to be snapped back into place as a bone that is dislocated.

Our personal reset will be in direct correlation to our assignment. The reset will flow out of abiding in His presence as He reveals Himself as the light that brings order and alignment.

I’m not simply speaking of being aligned with people, but being first aligned properly in Him so that we can be properly aligned with each other. It’s a reset. We will discover the areas of our dislocation and be reset. Reset will come in our walk as well as our ways so we do not dilute and pollute the flow of His glory as we build according to the pattern of the Son of God. {eoa}
