Prophecy: Transporting Doors Opening for Greater Access, Authority

In one of my favorite movies, there is a final battle scene in which enemies are camped outside the door of a fortress trying to get in with a battering ram. “Thud, thud, thud!” Then the camera pans over to the heroes on the other side of the door and they look at each other and nod, knowing what they have to do—not to run or retreat further inside, but to face the enemy and fight!

As the church, we have been in a season of fighting for an extended time. Jesus has already won the war at Calvary, but this has been a fight of territory and dominion; the claiming back of stolen inheritance and the rising of the bride into her governmental authority. With that in mind, I want to share the shift we are heading into as the family of God and how that applies to you.

Greater Access and Authority

Just like the door in the movie, doors in the Bible among others, have a significant role in stating the authority of access for the believer. Just look at these two Scriptures:

Psalm 24:7 says, “Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be lifted up, you everlasting doors, that the King of glory may enter.”

Isaiah 22:22 says, “The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder. Then he shall open, and no one shall shut. And he shall shut, and no one shall open.”

The reason God has been in heart-surgery mode so intensely within the body of Christ for this last season is because He knows that if you and I don’t get free, we won’t know our identity. If we don’t know our identity, we will never discover our inheritance and begin to usher in the King of glory and step into our shoes of authority and access. The earth has been groaning in anticipation for you to finally have your prison-break moment; so you not only get your breakthrough but you also become God’s agent of breakthrough in the earth.

Dream of Transporting Doors

Recently, I had a dream in which I was in an airport full of hundreds of doors that were transporting people from one place to another. I noticed that each door was given a different name and had different functions and purposes. There were three doors next to each other that stood out to me. The first door was called “The war is over!”

A few nights ago, I woke up to my daughter who was restless and not sleeping. After an hour of trying to settle her, she seemed to get more agitated and upset when suddenly, she just fell asleep. As she did, I looked at the time and it was 1:44 am. I felt led to read Isaiah 14 and these Scriptures jumped out at me:

Isaiah 14:3-7, “In the day the Lord gives you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear, and from the hard bondage in which you were made to serve, you shall take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say: How has the oppressor ceased! The golden city ceased! The Lord has broken the staff of the wicked, and the scepter of the rulers; he who struck the people in wrath with unceasing strokes, he who ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and no one hinders. The whole earth is at rest and is quiet; they break forth into singing.”

There, in the dark, the Holy Spirit began speaking to me again about this season of the closing door and the season of war coming to an end. Where many have felt like the season of contending for the promise has been costly and draining and the opposition on their families, marriages, finances and health has been more than they can handle, suddenly the restless opposition will stop and peace will come! You will look back and say, “Wow, the onslaught is over!”

Have you been lying down in defeat when you should be standing up and celebrating as a faith declaration? The door behind you is closing, the new day is before you, and the season of war is at its end.

It’s Time for Flight

The second door I saw was called “It’s time for flight.” While the word flight means simply the act of flying; it actually comes from the German word flucht, which means to flee and we know flee means to escape.

I asked the Lord, “What are we escaping?” Then the Lord showed me a vision of a yelling, taunting, scary mob that I knew represented the season many have been through—a season of surrounding circumstances that was like living with a scary, yelling mob trying to take their eyes off Jesus and onto the noise of the world. God is saying that He is leading His church’s focus off of the noise and back onto Him. We will be taken out of being natural-focused and into seeing how He is seeing.

The doorway is the invitation to not only rise above, but to move on from the season of perpetual distraction, diversion and confusion, and that comes only through the secret place. Ascend and watch what God does.

The End to the Wrestle

Have you felt like this year has been one, long wrestle you didn’t feel you would survive? The wrestle of this year has been like Jacob wrestling the angel of the Lord for his promise, his name change, and his course-altering shift from struggle to success. In the same way, God has been wanting to transition you from one place to another, from one name to another, and to alter the course of your future. But in that destiny-wrestle, many have given up and lain down in the brink of what will be their greatest moment of breakthrough.

Many have approached this threshold and experienced the thronging warfare and have fallen into deep discouragement and defeat because the witchcraft has been so endless, but the voices of opposition are being silenced! The constant demonic assignments sent to prevent the crossover are being tackled to the ground right now.

Are you still lying in the dust? I hear the Holy Spirit saying, “Wake up, wake up! Can’t you see where you are? You are at the dawning of a new day, at the crossover point where things suddenly change for you and your destiny. Get up and step in!”

Flying Around the Storm

As we recently flew to South Carolina, bad thunderstorms delayed us. The pilot notified us that they were having to reroute to avoid the storm. We hit really bad turbulence, and I thought, Have we flown directly into the storm? It didn’t feel much different at first, but then the pilot notified us that we had successfully avoided the storm and lightning, and we would be landing shortly.

Often as God is protecting us from the storm, we still experience the turbulence of being rerouted, which we call transition. It’s God re-toggling our operating system, changing our course and adjusting our altitude. This sometimes causes us to feel unsettled and we begin to assume it’s more warfare; in reality it’s God flying us around the storm and protecting us from the heavy hits the enemy has been planning against us.

Taste and See

The third door I saw was labeled “Taste and see.” I believe this coming year, the Lord is asking those who are weary to come and be refreshed but also to dream again. He is inviting us to move above the storms and warfare that have made us feel disillusioned, powerless and void of promise, and into actually tasting and seeing that God is good! Many of you are going to feel God elevating you above the things that would normally discourage you, and a fresh fire will rise up in you as you step into the door God has assigned for you.

This year you will feel so much movement, especially in the areas you have felt the most attack and where you have lost much. “Recompense is coming,” says the Lord. For every attack, for every word spoken against you, for every hindrance and delay, for every sleepless night, sickness, financial difficulty and pain, God is flipping the coin for you. I prophesy right now that your season of the fight is about to turn to flight, in Jesus’ name!

Practical Keys for the New Season

  • Transporting doors are invitations of movement. Pay attention to where God is shifting your heart, possible geographical moves, relational realignment and assignment shifts.
  • How is your heart after this season? Do you feel heavy and in need of healing and refreshing? Commit time every day to simply worshiping and offloading and as you do, you will feel a deep clean begin to sweep your heart.
  • How can you better navigate transition? Daily surrender to His plans over yours. Ask Holy Spirit to lead you and then do what He asks.
  • Take stock of the areas you have been most attacked/opposed in. Does this reveal to you where God wants to use, restore and increase?
  • Dream again. When warfare is high, you stop dreaming. Let the Lord reinvent your dream space and your night space. Journal again. Pick up your guitar again. Create again. Plan adventures again. {eoa}
