Let’s Pray, America!

by | Apr 13, 2010 | Blogs, Prophetic Fire

Rob WintersOn March 18, 2010, my ministry, Prepare the Way International, sent out a prophetic bulletin that was reprinted in Charisma‘s Prophetic Insight e-newsletter a few days later as “A Call to Repentance.” This bulletin was in essence an urgent call to repentance and intercession for Los Angeles, California, regarding the imminent divine judgment on Hollywood for projecting evil throughout the world over the past century and thus becoming a stumbling block for the nations.

Romans 14:13 clearly warns against such activity: “Therefore let us … resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way” (Rom. 14:13, NKJV). Today’s word is a follow-up to the previous message, which you can read by clicking here.

Fewer than 3 weeks after the bulletin was initially sent out, on April 4th (Easter), a 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit near an uninhabited area in Mexicali, Mexico. This high-magnitude quake shook buildings and towers in the area and swayed buildings as far as San Diego; Los Angeles; and Yuma, Arizona. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) considers the quake one of the most powerful in the area in recent times, measuring a depth of 10 kilometers.

I believe it is significant that the quake occurred on Easter Sunday. The Lord in His mercy is letting us know that it was not a random occurrence and that He is intimately involved in the affairs of men. This quake was a divine warning and wake-up call to the church.

I also believe that if we heed the warning the Lord sent through this quake and truly repent for the sins of our nation, especially for those of the media moguls in Los Angeles, we will experience the resurrection power that is necessary to transform America.

However, if we refuse to repent as a nation, subsequent judgments will follow. Second Chronicles 7:14 tells us: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

America, if we ever needed to respond to the message in this verse, it is now! Let’s humble ourselves, repent and pray.

Prophecy: The Josephs Are Stepping Into Their Suddenly

Could Judas Have Been Saved?

The answer is yes. If Judas would have simply repented to God, he could have been saved. The Bible tells us that everyone can be saved. Judas knew he had sinned but he didn’t bring it to God. A person can feel remorse within themselves, but not remorse for sinning...
