Prophetic Vision: You Must Be Ready to Be the Light

by | Apr 13, 2021 | Blogs, Prophetic Insight

I was reminded the other day with excitement of a prophetic vision the Lord gave me years ago. I saw people running around in the streets in chaos. They were going every which way in confusion, not knowing what direction to head.

The Lord said, “Kathy, you have to be ready to be the light when everyone is in darkness and confusion, when everyone is in fear and chaos.” He instructed me to root out all fear, so I could be in faith. (Last year, I launched a free e-course, How to Conquer Fear.)

Why am I excited about this vision? Because last week, the Lord revealed to me what is about to happen. People are currently in disarray because of COVID, finances, the government and how our world has changed.

However, the Lord is going to move through it and in it all. He is going to bring people to Him. We have heard that COVID has been a reset for some, shifting priorities and growing closer to the Lord. However, as we enter the end times, there will be more hard times we will face. We are not done with the challenges. The Bible speaks of plagues, earthquakes and turbulent times.

My spirit man got excited as the Spirit of the Lord was bringing forth this revelation. It wasn’t about being excited for the things we will endure and where our flesh might get uncomfortable or where we may scream and kick in the natural. I was excited in my spirit for the glory of the Lord that will be shown and revealed and for the faith that will be released and for the kingdom that will see an increase. We are living out the very prophecy of the Bible, and that is exciting!

We don’t serve a God of lack but abundance. We don’t serve a God of tragedy but victory. He was revealing to me how we need to change our perception. We are walking in a place of defeat, victim mentality and not liking the things in the world. The truth of the matter is there are end-time prophecy events that are manifesting. We are experiencing it before our own eyes and in our lifetime. We can fight end-time event manifestations by being negative about them, or we can embrace them by seeing the good that will come forth. I’ve always said when we embrace the challenges we can move through them with ease. God is not a liar. He will complete His Word, and we need to be excited about that! God will accomplish what He sets forth.

We need a spiritual shift and renewal. I heard “spiritual shift” and “reset.” Not a reset like some people got during seclusion and isolation, but a reset now, in the present, a mind and emotional reset. A renewal of purpose as Elijah experienced. There is so much negativity, and when we are surrounded by negative circumstances or things we don’t like, we don’t have to experience them in their entirety and have them become us.

We can choose to see the chaos and confusion as an opportunity to share our faith, love on people and be the light in a dark world. It starts with us. We need to transform. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:2, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

The Lord was revealing to me that we need to renew our minds. We can’t fall into negativity. We have to focus on hope, love and the Lord. We are going to experience dark times. We will go through trials and tribulations, but it is what we do during those tests, natural disasters, world events and plagues that will matter.

Will we be fearful or faithful? Will we share negativity or share hope? Will we live in the darkness or be the light? Will we answer the call or run from it? Seek the Spirit of the Lord for an attitude and heart check-up—for a spiritual and emotional transformation—and remember we are in the world, but we are not of this world.
