Why It’s Crucial for You to Put on the Full Armor of God Every Day

Do you put on the full armor of God?

Did you know that sometimes when we are putting the armor of God, we don’t always take the time put on all the armor of God? It’s time for us to put on the full armor of God. At least I know I’m guilty of that.

How about you? Ephesians 6:11 clearly states, “Put on the full armor of God” and then it gives us the reason or a purpose. Now I know this, I tend to be a purpose or motivated person. We all are.

If we see a purpose, then we are much more motivated in the discipline or the task that’s needed to accomplish the purpose. So let’s look at Ephesians 6:11, because here’s the issue. Many of us know this verse.

By the way, if you’re a brand-new believer in Christ Jesus, you really need to know this verse. And if you’ve been walking with the Lord for years, you also really need to know this verse.

Now, when I read—I have a set of glasses. In fact they are tri-focals and I must set my head in a particular angle to be able to read properly. We need to set our gaze upon this strategic verse in Ephesians 6 with a proper posture and possibly with a new set of lenses. So to read with clarity, I had to take familiarity off, so I could see with a fresh and renewed perspective.

Take Your Stand

In one of my recent dreams the Holy Spirit woke me up and alerted me with a word. “You must take a stand. You must take a stand.” So I have a word for us right now in the middle of all these times of shaking. There is a very simple and yet important lesson to learn. Take a stand by putting on the full armor of God. Throw off over-familiarity with what you think the Word of God says. Put on a fresh lens. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.

Now, let me put these thoughts together in the context of Ephesians 6:11. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand. Why? Is there a purpose stated?

So, take your stand against the devil’s schemes. What schemes? The word for schemes here is “schemata” and that can be interpreted as a blueprint. God has a plan and a purpose for your life but guess what? The devil is not an originator, he is a copycat. God is a creator, but the devil isn’t. The devil mocks God’s plans.

Stand against the devil’s copycat blueprints by putting on the full armor. It’s really important, right? We have to put on a fresh set of lens to look at this scripture, because we can look at it with over familiarity and miss out on this strategic revelation. The devil has a schemata, a scheme, a wily scheme, a blueprint. We need to take our stand against those schemes! At times, we need to have others stand with us.

We can align together with God’s plans, purposes and promises and move into a higher realm cause God has a wonderful plan for our lives. He really does. Let’s take a stand together for that to come into being. Yes, it’s time for my, your, our revival breakthrough!
