As I have prayed into the year 2023 & beyond, the Holy Spirit has given me a recurring vision of a teeter totter going up and down. I asked the Holy Spirit what I was seeing, and He replied simply, “It’s the Time of the Teeter Totter.”
We are in a time when things can flip one direction and then another very quickly. It is important to be grounded in the Word of God, or you could be thrown off balance. You must take advantage of specific windows of opportunity and apply the right pressure to turn things around. A crisis can become an invitation into intervention. What goes down can be flipped into an upward spiral.
My theme scripture comes from Haggai 2:6-9. “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the Lord Almighty. ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
Many of you know this passage of Scripture quite well. But take note of something amazing here. It is in the time of great shaking that the greatest opportunities come forth. Global shaking is followed by global glory! This is the nature of “The Time of the Teeter Totter!”

It’s a time when things will “shake, rattle and roll” and when “times of crisis will become times of intervention” for those with the gift of faith.
Watch for multiplication miracles taking place. The backdrop of darkness will become the dramatic theater where the greatest show on Earth is displayed.
New expressions of the church will come forth out of necessity and relevancy. These will not replace the church as we know it, but there are people—hundreds of thousands of burnt stones—waiting in desperation for something organic and not religious. There must be new wineskins for the new wine! The Father is simply adding rooms to His house.
