The Days of Noah

E-mail Print PDF

But as the days of [Noah] were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. —Matthew 24:37

In the days of Noah, people were eating and drinking, violating their marriages, and participating in revelry, lawlessness, and lasciviousness.

When the rains began to fall and the ark shifted off its housing, Noah and his family were safe inside. As the floodwaters rose, the people outside the ark screamed for deliverance, but the door was closed.

Just as God provided one solitary way of escape for Noah and his family, He has provided one solitary way for those who turn to Him in these end times. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

Those who were saved in Noah's time were sealed in the ark by God Himself before the destruction came (Genesis 7:16). When the headlines proclaim an increase in violence and corruption you can know your redemption is close at hand.

The only true safety and security in these days are resting securing in the hands of the Savior. Are you resting in Him today?

Lord Jesus, I know that Your burden is
easy and Your yoke is light. Today
I rest fully in You. Amen.
